Drone Demonstration in Industrial Areas

The Mancomunitat Camp de Túria has organized a drone demonstration day in industrial areas together with the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The aim of this exhibition was to show companies the uses of logistics, security, and monitoring of people and facilities that can be performed thanks to this technology.

The La Reva Industrial Park in Riba-roja de Túria hosted the demonstration, which was inaugurated by the mayor of the municipality, Robert Raga, as well as by the president of the Mancomunitat Camp de Túria, Amparo Navarro.

This action is part of the ALAIRE-Uspace project. The project is coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and involves the participation of partner entities in the consortium, including the companies Abionica, Urjato, and Fivecomm, as well as the collaboration of Pleyad. It is a project funded by IVACE+i that aims to promote the development of drone applications, with an investment exceeding €800,000.

The event continued with an explanation of the ALAIRE-Uspace project by the project leader, Israel Quintanilla. The drones flew over the Riba-roja industrial park thanks to the collaboration of the Association of Entrepreneurs of La Reva (ASOCREVA).

In short, the day showcased the various uses that drones can have in industrial areas, whether for surveillance, roof inspection, or logistics. It was a great opportunity to learn firsthand about the technology of the present and the future.

ALAIRE-Uspace aims to promote the development of drone applications through a model and implementation product that can be replicable and scalable to other regions and that has a demonstrator in the Camp de Túria region.

Specifically, today's operation featured seven drone units. DJI Dock 3 (automated nest-type station for drone flight), Matrice 4TD, Matrice 4E, Matrice 30T, as well as Matrice 350 and two mini-drones soared through the skies of Riba-roja demonstrating the present and future of this new technology.
